From up and coming brand TOF Paris, founded in early 2016, comes this unique take on a thong. Produced in French workshops, handcrafted, high quality garments with premium fabrics and reasonable prices.
Thong & Material
The TOF Paris French Thong comes eight colours — Black, White, Blue, Red, Turquoise, Royal-Blue, Grey and Orange — and features a soft and comfortable cotton (96%), elastane (4%) jersey fabric.
The front has high cut sides and a deep lined pouch offering a great form and style. The pouch provides ample support and coverage, while not being too heavy and forms a partial join with the waistband.
The waistband runs around the body and is bare on the sides, giving it a somewhat tanga-like appearance. The flat wide band provides a secure and comfortable fit that prevents rolling and is made of a jacquard fabric.
The back of the garment has small triangle back which forms a similar partial join as the front pouch and completes the underwear.
Immediately following the triangle thong back is a flat g-string type elastic that joins at the base of the front pouch. This appears to be same material as the waistband.
Comfort & Wear
The model shown is a size ‘S’ and offers a somewhat alluring fit. It’s not quite low-rise, however, and sits comfortably just above the hips. A half an inch lower rise with a bit more snugger fit would’ve made this an even better than garment than it already is.
The flat g-string type thong is a somewhat novel embellishment and adds certain “je ne sais quoi,” as the french say. It takes a slight bit of adjustment, but otherwise is comfortable once properly seated.
Verdict
Given the fit and comfort, this is something that would go well with formal wear and would be quite comfortable for casual wear as well. Definitely a must have in the wardrobe.
